center for youth with acute behavioral health needs. Located in
Somerville, the beautiful new facility offers care for children and
adolescents with neuro-developmental disorders. The new Center for
Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Somerville will provide
a transformative continuum of patient and family-centered care for
diverse youth with mental health needs. The CHA Somerville Campus
has a wonderful opportunity for a Nurse Manager to lead our
inpatient Adolescent Unit. The Nurse Manager has 24-hour
accountability and responsibility for nursing care delivered to
patients as well as supervision of nursing staff. The 2 North
Adolescent Unit is a newly renovated secured 21 bed psychiatric
unit that provides care for patients between the ages of 12 and 17.
The unit is located at Somerville Hospital. This is an acute care
unit, working on assessment, stabilization and after care treatment
planning. We have a multidisciplinary team focused on teaching
self-control, de-escalation and restraint reduction. This approach
is used to provide patient and family centered care. An ideal
candidate will have experience in: clinical operations, service
planning, business performance, and implementation of systems to
increase efficiencies while maintaining or improving quality to the
Adolescent Psychiatry department. Qualifications/Requirements:
