Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Seafood department at Whole Foods Market.Key Responsibilities

• Store Layout and Merchandising: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with Team Leaders to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Inventory Management: Assist with ordering and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Customer Experience: Foster a positive and engaging customer experience by maintaining awareness of customer flows and needs, and directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Team Development: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Performance Evaluation: Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations to ensure Team Members are meeting performance expectations.Requirements
• Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
• Skills: Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory; excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
